Responsibilities for ACES Supervisor
Supervise ACES's and all activities for which the Contractor is responsible at the Airport, including motivating ACES's through direct field contact.
Ensure the ACES's are on post, dressed in complete uniform as delineated hereunder, and are fulfilling their duties with enthusiasm and excellence.
Oversee duties performed by ACES's. Review operating logs and reports but not limited to the physical conditions of terminals, frontages, and bus stops.
Must be able and comfortable driving company vehicles. Our vehicles accommodate up to 12 passengers. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for transporting employees to and from their assigned shifts at various locations throughout the airport.
Assist the ACES Manager and ACES Assistant Manager in overseeing all activities carried out by the Contractor and assume management responsibilities as directed by the Contractor. Transmit information between ACES's and the ACES Manager and ACES Assistant Manager.
Maintain personnel and attendance files of ACES's.
Notify Airport Manager of any significant delay due to weather or any unusual or emergency.
Be responsible for the optimum utilization of ACES's and other resources on an assigned shift, including assistance in establishing scheduling patterns necessary to meet adequate service standards.
Train ACES's with respect to their functions and responsibilities and evaluate subordinates' performance.
Qualifications for ACES Supervisor
Have a working familiarity with the geography of the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area as measured by a screening examination, with content approved by the Port Authority, to be administered to potential ACES's prior to hiring
Ability to type and use computer equipment common to an office environment and use portable customer support equipment
A valid In-State Driver's License
Successfully complete the examinations which is given at the conclusion of an (8) day formal orientation training
