Responsibilities

Weston & Sampson CMR is seeking a Project Manager with 1-5 years of experience in our Oxford, CT location. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the team to complete specific projects and serve clients.



Qualifications



What you’ll do:

  • Push subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and CMR labor to adhere to the schedule.
  • Review submittals as they come in. Track submittals in the CMR ERP system.
  • Work with Administrative Coordinator to submit.
  • Submit RFI’s.
  • Create purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Track and follow up on long lead items to make sure they are on schedule.
  • Complete pay applications and follow up to ensure we are paid in a timely manner.
  • Be aware of the financials of the project and obtain a working knowledge of our accounting software (Vision)
  • Manage project budget. Monitor and track the accounts payable and receivable report.
  • Sustain strong communication with project staff, subcontractors, and with the client.
  • Track the hours of time and material contractors. Manage them to adhere to the budget. 
  • Coordinate manpower with area scheduler; Complete 3-6-week work schedules; update and maintain for all assigned projects. Work collaboratively with AGM’s and the Construction Manager to schedule staff.
  • Prepare change orders and keep a change order log summary.
  • Track the financials of the project by estimating the remaining expenses on a monthly basis.
  • Document site activities and save photos in the job folder.
  • Save subcontractor and vendor pricing in the CRM ERP system as a reference tool for future bids
  • Review bulletins and plan updates received from general contractors/engineers/owners to understand impact on the project scope.
  • Address client issues and queries in accurate and timely manner.

What you'll bring:

  • 4-year technical college degree and 5 years of construction experience, or 10 years of construction experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office. Basic scheduling software
  • BIM modeling (if applicable)
  • Basic Excel formulas
  • Experience in general construction of large construction is preferred
  • Proficient with mobile phone devices and applicantions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead staff
  • Have or obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) health card
  • Valid driver’s license
  • OSHA 10 required
