Our client is an entrepreneurial, growing General Contractor based in Palo Alto, California. They are partnered with a large developer to build 100 - 200-unit multifamily podium projects with high-end finishes in the South San Francisco Bay Area. A newly created role has opened up for a Project Engineer with a multifamily background to join the team in Palo Alto, California to support these ambitious growth plans.



Your new role


Working directly with the Owner of the General Contractor and the Lead Superintendent, your role as the Project Engineer will be to support the projects with key tasks such as processing RFIs, submittals, change orders and pay applications, overseeing subcontractors for specific scopes of work to ensure they are in line with the schedule and budgets, engage in meetings with the developer to support with documentation and follow-ups on subcontractor queries.



What you'll need to succeed


The position requires at least 2-4+ years of experience as a Project Engineer with recent multifamily project experience supporting projects ideally wood-framed. You must be a self-starter, self-motivated with excellent attention to detail & great communication skills to collaborate with your team and 3rd parties. You must be proficient in IT software tools such as Procore & MS projects.
