Volt is immediately hiring for Laser Production Technician II in San Marcos, Ca.
Performs simple to moderately complex testing of components, subassemblies and finished products in accordance with established practices, procedures, and product / process documentation.
As a Laser Production Technician II you will:
Reads and understands circuit schematics, assembly instructions and test procedures.
Verifies and records product performance results.
Understands product performance parameters and associated test methodology.
Helps develop product specifications.
Applies knowledge of electronics to the analysis of test processes and unit failures.
Work includes one or more of the following: test station and equipment set-up, unit adjustment, alignment and calibration, failure analysis and repair of defective product, electro-mechanical disassembly and re-assembly and test data collection and distribution.
Completes all work in accordance with established standards.
Completes time sheet in clear and accurate manner.
Complies with company health and safety policies and procedures.
Supports company values including ethical conduct and a high level of integrity.
Works with Engineering to align documentation of test procedures on works instructions.
May build moderately complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
This is a full time opportunity
The ideal candidate will have:
Frequent use of power supplies, measurement equipment, personal computers and assembly hand tools.
One year of technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees within the organization.
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to routinely encountered situations and obtain quantitative results. Ability to interpret graphical data and reduce larger data sets to graphical form.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Electronic technician certification preferred.
Pay Rate: $25.00-30.00/hr
