Job Description:
This position oversees the day to day financial operations of the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
This position is located at 501 South 14th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.

Job duties
Develops objectives, concepts and policies governing the management of revenues and expenditures in accordance with principles of governmental accounting. Formulates plans and policies pertaining to the use of financial data in support of planning and programming. Establishes concepts and policies for financial reporting systems to control operations and comply with statutes and Federal Reimbursement directives. Develops concepts and systems for presentations of financial resources related to programmed activities to facilitate the programming of funds. Plans, organizes and directs activities of Budget, Accounting Systems, Cost Accounting, Disbursing, Finance and Revenue, and Financial Aid. Coordinates all day-to-day financial operations for the agency. Works closely with agency Procurement Manager to coordinate agency wide contract management. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, plus seven years experience in the accounting field, including the development of governmental budgeting and accounting systems utilizing EDPE with at least three years responsible supervisory experience. A Master's degree and CPA certificate are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in government or non-profit finance and budgeting is preferred.
Other: Regular and reliable attendance is required.
