POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Performs a variety of routine custodial and grounds maintenance tasks, e.g., edging, mowing,
trimming, waste and litter removal, pressure washing, fertilizing, placing sod, raking, planting,
etc.
? May perform minor maintenance and repairs on structures, facilities, equipment, streetlamps,
sidewalks, and other City property in one or more of the skilled and semi-skilled disciplines, e.g.,
streets maintenance, electrical, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, and flooring.
? Operates a wide variety of light and medium equipment and machinery, e.g., automobile, pickup
truck, trailers, dump truck, roller, bucket truck, sky track, forklift, skid steer, mini-excavator, lawn
mower, tractor, street sweeper, knuckle boom refuse loading equipment, UTV.
? Operates various standard hand-held manual, electrical, and gas-powered tools and equipment,
e.g., hammer, shovel, rake, screw drivers, wrenches, digging bar, chainsaw, chemical sprayer
leaf blower, string trimmer, tillers, hedge trimmers, edger, etc.
? Provides event set up to include mobile sound stages, sound equipment, temporary fencing,
tables, chairs, tents, lighting, and banners.
? Complete pre-designed road closures by installing temporary signage, water barriers, meridian
barriers and vehicles.
? Cleans, maintains and adjusts tools, equipment and machinery, e.g., maintains fluids, performs
general service and minor repairs.
? Will be required to work late hours, and weekends for events as well as for snow and emergency
response.
? Performs related duties as assigned
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
? High school diploma or GED; supplemented by one (1) year of related work experience; or an equivalent
combination of education, training, and experience.
? Excellent work history and attendance record.
? Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
