JOB DESCRIPTION: The Industrial Distribution (ID) program is a nationally recognized program preparing students for careers in technical sales related areas. The Industrial Distribution program is seeking an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) or Lecturer to begin Fall 2025. The Industrial Distribution (ID) program is a nationally recognized program focused on preparing students for careers in technical sales and leadership roles within manufacturing and distribution. The program enjoys significant industry support and has a rapidly growing student enrollment.
We are seeking a dynamic and engaged faculty member to contribute to our programs continued success. We welcome applications from individuals with expertise in business-to-business technical sales, distribution operations, or industrial technologies. A successful candidate will have the ability to teach in multiple areas related to industrial distribution, sales, or technical product applications.
Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to hands-on, experiential learning and be eager to collaborate with industry partners to enhance student opportunities. Tenure-track appointments require scholarly research and publication related to the teaching areas. Lecturers have a teaching load of four classes per semester with no scholarship requirement.
Additional responsibilities may include advising and mentoring students, participating in student recruitment efforts, supporting the student-run Industrial Distribution Organization (IDO), and engaging with industry partners as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A candidate must have earned a masters degree in industrial distribution, industrial management, business administration, or related field and at least 5 years of recent and relevant US based industry experience to be eligible for a lecturer position.
To be eligible for a tenure track position, candidate must have an earned doctorate orABDstatus and at least 5 years of recent and relevant US based industry experience.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language and effective use of technology-based teaching tools are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
An earned doctorate (PhD,DBA) in a mission appropriate field such as Technology Management, Engineering Education, Industrial Technology, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or closely related field to be eligible for an Assistant Professor tenure track position. Candidates who areABDwith substantial progress toward completion of the dissertation will be considered.
Documented successful teaching ability at the university level, curriculum development, and evidence of building partnerships, service to national associations, and service to students. Evidence of potential to conduct appropriate research leading to peer reviewed publication. Preference will be given to candidates with recent and relevant industrial distribution and/or technical sales experience.
