The Project Manager, Trust & Safety will be responsible for leading critical initiatives that ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of the client's platform. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Engineering, Operations, and Policy teams to design and implement solutions that mitigate risks, enforce policies, and create a safer user experience. The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, experience in trust and safety, and a passion for building safer online communities.

Key Responsibilities/ Deliverables

Lead Trust & Safety Initiatives
  • Drive projects focused on user safety, content moderation, fraud prevention, and policy enforcement.
  • Define project milestones, deliverables, and timelines for trust and safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Product, Engineering, Operations) to align strategies.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including roadmaps and risk assessments.
  • Monitor progress and ensure timely execution of initiatives.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and dependencies to key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings, ensuring clear action items and accountability.

Develop and Implement Policies
  • Assist in designing, implementing, and refining trust and safety policies.
  • Work with internal teams to define and operationalize trust and safety guidelines.
  • Identify gaps in existing frameworks and recommend improvements.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation
  • Identify emerging threats, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement proactive solutions.

Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to relevant laws, industry standards, and platform policies.

Incident & Crisis Management:
  • Support rapid response efforts to safety incidents, abuse, and compliance risks, ensuring swift resolution.
  • Develop protocols for responding to safety incidents and platform abuse.
  • Coordinate rapid response efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-incident analysis and recommend preventive measures.

Operational Efficiency
  • Improve workflows and response mechanisms for incident management and enforcement actions.
  • Identify and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency in safety enforcement and moderation.

Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Leverage analytics and reporting to assess safety trends, measure impact, and improve trust and safety operations.
  • Use metrics and analytics to assess safety trends and measure effectiveness.
  • Provide insights to improve detection, prevention, and enforcement efforts.
  • Prepare reports for leadership on key trust and safety initiatives.

Desired Experience & Requirements
  • 7+years of project management experience, preferably in Trust & Safety, Policy, Risk Management, or a related field within a tech company.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to lead complex projects, manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • Technical Understanding: Familiarity with online safety tools, content moderation systems, and risk detection technologies is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to addressing safety challenges.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of global trust and safety regulations, content moderation laws, and industry best practices is a plus.
