Mentorship: Support the development of team members by providing guidance and sharing industry best practices.
Project Execution & Scheduling
Site Management: Oversee all daily on-site activities, ensuring milestones are met efficiently and effectively.
Scheduling: Collaborate with the Project Manager to create and maintain the project schedule. Ensure trades and activities are properly sequenced to avoid delays.
Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve operational challenges promptly to keep the project on track.
Quality Assurance
Inspection & Compliance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work adheres to project specifications, design documents, and building codes.
Punch Lists: Oversee the creation and completion of punch lists to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Verification: Ensure accuracy and quality in installations, addressing any discrepancies immediately.
Safety Management
Protocol Enforcement: Implement and enforce OSHA standards and safety protocols on-site.
Daily Briefings: Lead safety meetings and site inspections to maintain a hazard-free environment.
Incident Management: Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Communication
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary on-site point of contact for subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and clients.
Updates & Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on progress, risks, and potential changes.
Collaboration: Maintain clear communication across teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Resource Management
Logistics: Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment allocation, and waste removal.
Efficiency: Track labor and resource utilization to ensure optimal productivity.
Inventory: Verify the availability and condition of materials, tools, and equipment needed for the project.
Documentation & Reporting
Daily Logs: Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress, and incidents.
Approvals: Review and approve subcontractor timesheets and reports.
Documentation: Assist in preparing and submitting required RFIs, submittals, and inspection reports.
Position Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
Experience managing large-scale commercial, industrial, or institutional projects is preferred.
Certifications:
OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
Additional certifications in safety, first aid, or quality management are desirable.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
