This is a dynamic leadership opportunity for a Manager of Project Development who brings both technical expertise and a passion for team leadership. You'll play a key role in aligning backend software initiatives with organizational goals, overseeing product execution from planning through delivery, and supporting the growth of a talented, agile engineering team.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Lead a cross-functional team of developers, QA engineers (including SDETs), and offshore contributors, while fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Guide technical conversations and architectural planning for middleware and backend systems, ensuring scalability and product stability.
Collaborate with product managers and internal stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and technical strategies across multiple enterprise applications.
Implement Agile practices to manage project workflows, resource allocation, and reporting, while contributing to the development of a structured Project Management Office (PMO).
Support business and customer goals by aligning project deliverables to key performance outcomes, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.
Here's what our ideal candidate has:
Demonstrated experience bringing commercial-grade software products to market, with strong backend development background in .NET or Java.
7+ years of software development experience and a minimum of 2 years in technical leadership or people management roles.
Strong understanding and application of Agile/Scrum methodologies, with the ability to mentor teams and lead iterative development cycles.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the emotional intelligence to lead cross-functional teams.
Must be willing to obtain PMP certification within the first year of employment.
