Our client is looking for a Glass & Glazing Project Manager to oversee and coordinate commercial and residential glazing projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of glass and glazing projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as extensive knowledge of glazing systems, curtain walls, storefronts, and architectural glass.
Responsibilities
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of glass and glazing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with design and structural requirements.
Coordinate with architects, general contractors, engineers, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
Develop project schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
Manage procurement of materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct site visits to oversee installation, address issues, and ensure quality control.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
Identify and resolve project challenges, including material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and unforeseen conditions.
Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
Handle project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in glass and glazing project management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of glazing systems, curtain walls, storefronts, and architectural metalwork.
Experience managing budgets, contracts, and schedules in construction projects.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar).
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
