ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Project Controls Professional position will provide independent oversight for Capital and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects, focusing on project monitoring, risk identification, and accurate costing. Responsibilities include coordinating, tracking, and executing project estimates, while offering technical direction and support to project managers in developing scope, schedules, and cost analysis. The role demands proactive monitoring and reporting of schedule, scope, and cost changes to ensure timely communication with stakeholders. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay rate: $50.68 - $70.78

Responsibilities:
Assist with development of project scope and collaborate with assigned project teams
Prepare detailed Level 1-4 project implementation schedules using P6
Integrate cost estimates with schedules to create logic-tied, resource-loaded cost flow projections
Analyze schedule deviations to identify activities impacting cost/schedule
Evaluate real-time cost data to determine project status and financial health
Recommend corrective actions to mitigate cost/schedule overruns
Collaborate with Project Managers to develop accurate Estimate to Completion (ETC) forecasts
Prepare reports on financial health and projected changes in scope/funding requirements
Track and document changes in budgets, communicate impacts, and update baselines
Review schedule data to ensure accuracy and alignment with project scope
Enter schedule updates monthly in P6 and process journal entries in financial systems
Manage data entry and configuration control during project approval and execution
Conduct consistency reviews, resolve findings, and identify lessons learned for improvement
Participate in project meetings, safety meetings, and general staff discussions
Recommend improvements for project controls processes and desktop instructions
Perform tasks as delegated while focusing on customer service and collaboration
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in project controls/project management in an industrial environment
OR an AA degree and 6 years of relevant experience
OR High School diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant experience
Formal training in Primavera P6 or another project management system
Earned Value Management Certification (PMP, PBA, SP, CAPM, or RMP) preferred
Proficiency in Earned Value Management methodology, project reporting, and cost analysis
Experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical, mathematical, and data-checking skills
Detail-oriented and capable of conducting variance analyses
Ability to establish goals, prioritize, and maintain awareness of activity interrelationships
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Comfortable with presentations and speaking in front of groups
Strong teamwork and self-motivation; ability to work independently
Experience supporting large projects with budgets of $25M+ (desired)
Familiarity with Power BI, Asset Suite, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Workday (desired)
Background in the Utility Industry, particularly nuclear plant operations, preferred
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and process improvement experience
