As a Senior Project Manager, you will take the lead in overseeing land development projects from concept to completion. Your role will involve working closely with developers, regulatory bodies, community stakeholders, and consultants to ensure smooth execution and successful project delivery. These projects include a variety of developments, from retail and residential communities to parks, public housing, recreational facilities, and more.
Your expertise will be essential in managing project budgets, schedules, and resources while ensuring all aspects of the development, such as traffic flow, stormwater management, and water quality, are optimized for maximum impact. You will also serve as a key point of contact for clients, addressing technical, financial, and logistical concerns with ease. In this senior role, you will play a dual role of "seller/doer", building relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and managing multiple projects to drive growth within the organization.
responsibilities.
Lead and manage complex land development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with client specifications.
Oversee project development, including traffic, stormwater, water quality, and sanitary systems, ensuring optimal community impact.
Attend and lead project review meetings with internal teams and clients, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
Mentor and collaborate with project teams, guiding junior managers and setting the vision for project success.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary contact for all project-related matters.
Lead efforts in identifying target market areas and developing strategic marketing plans.
Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
Prepare and review proposals, project plans, and project closeout documents.
qualifications.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Planning, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in preparing proposals, project plans, and managing client relationships.
Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Deltek Vision, MS Project, or Primavera P6 is preferred.
At least 11 years of experience, with a minimum of 8 years in project management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
PE, RLA, or equivalent professional license preferred.
Ability to travel as needed.
PMP Certification is a plus.
