Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and run a forklift, skid steer in an industrial plant environment.


• Accurately interpret and apply information from work orders, job orders, specifications, blueprints, ISO's or other drawings and recognize basic blueprint terms and symbols for job application


• Identify, recognize and demonstrate safe usage of power tools and hand tools appropriate for the job


• Recognize various materials used in piping systems and demonstrate a working knowledge of appropriate material handling techniques


• Select and safely use appropriate equipment for the job which may include (but not limited to) graders, front-end loaders, bulldozers, manlifts, fork lifts, and company trucks


• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in safe rigging practices


• Identify, explain and perform crane signals


• Demonstrate ability to perform equipment inspections and daily reporting procedures consistent with the company's and manufacturer's requirements


• Demonstrate ability to accurately read load charts


• Identify functions, operating characteristics and limitation of various pieces of heavy equipment


• Demonstrate ability to recognize and effectively communicate machinery maintenance problems


• Bore bolt holes in timber, masonry or concrete walls, using power drill
