Victory Preparatory Academy, a high-performing and award-winning charter school, is looking for a passionate Physical Education Teacher to join our middle and high school team. Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $56,000–$65,000 (based on experience)


• $2,000 sign-on bonus


• 7 paid personal days annually

Your Day-to-Day As our Physical Education Teacher, you’ll:

• Teach physical education classes to students in grades 6–12


• Deliver high-quality instruction using the Focused Fitness curriculum and standards-based lesson planning


• Provide equal opportunities for all students to participate and grow through a variety of physical activities, including team sports, personal fitness, and individual movement


• Promote safe and effective techniques in all physical activities and ensure a positive, respectful environment


• Teach social interaction skills alongside physical education goals, fostering teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship


• Establish both short- and long-term goals based on student needs and program evaluation


• Maintain lesson plans, grade books, and conduct regular assessments to track student growth and achievement


• Manage the inventory and organization of all sports equipment, ensuring safety and accessibility


• Utilize basic technology tools to enhance instruction and monitor student progress

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or equivalent (36 credit hours or Praxis 5091 exam)


• First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)


• Basic understanding of technology tools to support instruction


• 2–5 years of PE teaching experience preferred
