Judge Healthcare is seeking a Medical Records Coordinator to work REMOTE!
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 hours shift
Location: Fully Remote
About the Role: The Medical Records Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting HCI audits by ensuring timely collection, evaluation, and management of medical records. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adherence to confidentiality standards, including HIPAA compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Initiate and maintain communications with providers via phone, fax, and email to collect medical records for HCI audit-related purposes.
Process received medical records by evaluating them for accuracy and completeness, and conduct follow-up outreach to retrieve missing documentation or information.
Accurately input required data into the database and ensure its completeness.
Track and manage assigned projects as directed by the supervisor.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information, including Protected Health Information (PHI), as per HIPAA and company policy.
Perform routine administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, and filing, along with other duties as assigned.
Support the achievements of organizational goals and vision.
Additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
1-3 years of experience in medical records collection.
Familiarity with inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) medical record components.
Proficiency in medical terminology.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Skilled in navigating and abstracting information from various types of medical record documentation across healthcare settings (paper and electronic).
Professional demeanor in appearance, speech, and conduct.
