Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:





  • Collect and analyze Supply Chain data

  • Recommend improvements to boost performance and reduce costs

  • Coordinate with other department professionals to implement management approved changes.

  • Assist in planning and implementation of Supply Chain optimization projects

  • Locate sources for new component or material requirements.

  • Work with QA and other departments in the supplier qualification process. Select suppliers that can provide materials or services that meet specified Atrion and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in on-site supplier audits, if necessary.

  • Assist in or lead various internal audits as required.

  • Conduct inventory cycle counts with warehouse personnel.

  • Interact daily with various types of suppliers. Provide communication link between Supply Chain and suppliers. Ensure that suppliers have adequate specifications to meet the requirements of each component, material or service.

  • Work with all departments in meeting the needs of day-to-day company operations.

  • Assist in planning daily production activities for manufacturing departments to meet the needs of sales order requirements and/or inventory requirements.

  • Assist in maintaining Address Book in ERP system. This may require adding new suppliers or updating existing contact information.

  • Place orders for non-inventoried components, materials or services such as maintenance and routine operations.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.

  • Adhere to all Atrion policies including safety, attendance, and personal hygiene requirements per the Atrion Employee Handbook.

  • Strong verbal, written and mathematical skills required.

  • Good communication and interaction skills are required.

  • Ability to interact in a professional and competent manner with all facets of manufacturing.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with ERP software, JDE preferred.






Education:





  • High School Diploma

  • Enrolled in college of business or supply chain program.






Physical Demands:



Up to 2/3 of time will be spent sitting, talking and listening. 1/3 to 2/3 of time may be spent walking and using hands and fingers to reach, grasp & manipulate. May lift up to 10 lbs. upon occasion.



Work Environment:



The work environment described here is representative of that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment interacting with others in the same work area. The noise level is typically quiet.
