What You Will Do
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines including mills, lathes, and routers
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Program machining cycles and help develop processes using CAM software, G-code and conversational programming for CNC controls
Perform quality checks, inspections and post-processing operations on manufactured parts
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, maintenance, and production metrics
Support engineering projects by assisting with process development, fabricating prototypes and test fixtures
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures - maintain a clean and organized work environment by conducting applicable regular preventative maintenance
Develop training processes for basic machine operator set up and troubleshooting skills
Collaborate with design engineers to improve manufacturability of parts
Independent small scale project work in collaboration with engineering and production teams to develop robust machining solutions for both existing and prototype parts
What You Wil Bring
High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience operating CNC machinery.
Technical degree or certification in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Solidworks, Mastercam, PowerMill or similar).
Working knowledge of G-code programming, CNC control systems and machine setup; including tool setting & fixture selection for 5-axis machining.
