Job Summary:
The DevOps Engineer operates with minimal supervision in an agile team environment, playing a pivotal role in implementing and evolving our DevOps practices. This position ensures seamless collaboration between development and operations teams by designing, implementing, and maintaining DevOps processes that drive efficiency, scalability, and reliability across the software delivery lifecycle.


Responsibilities:
Automation and Tooling:


  • Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment and configuration management systems.

  • Evaluate, select, and integrate appropriate tools and technologies to enhance the DevOps toolchain.

  • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.

Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD):

  • Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.

  • Implement and maintain version control systems and branching strategies.

  • Monitor and improve code quality, test coverage, and deployment success rates.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Design and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure, preferably in AWS environments.

  • Implement monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution.

  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices throughout development and deployment processes.

  • Collaborate with security teams to conduct regular security assessments and audits.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Documentation and Training:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes, configurations, and procedures.

  • Provide training and support to development and operations teams on DevOps best practices.

Other Duties:

  • Participate in quarterly planning, daily stand-ups, release planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Foster a positive team environment and promote collaboration across IT and other departments.

  • Represent and communicate the organization's mission and values while adhering to policies on conduct, security, and confidentiality.

  • Facilitate effective meetings with stakeholders, team members, and vendors.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and methodologies.

  • Strong expertise in automation, scripting, and programming languages (e.g., Python, Shell, Java, TypeScript).

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket) and CI/CD tools.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with monitoring tools and logging solutions.

Education Requirements:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Preferred: Certifications in relevant technologies such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Certified Administrator, or similar.
