Summit Funding Group, Inc. is an established and growing equipment leasing company and a wholly owned subsidiary of First Financial Bank located in Mason, OH. Summit Funding Group, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Specialist. This position will be located at Summit Funding Group, Inc.'s headquarters in Mason, Ohio.



Essential Functions/Responsibilities



  • Work closely with management and associates to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase engagement and retention.

  • Identifies qualified candidates, conducts and schedules interviews and partners with hiring managers to present competitive, equitable offers.

  • Communicate with candidates, conduct interviews, perform background checks, complete hiring process including new hire paperwork.

  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of associates, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance to resolve employee relations issues.

  • Guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.


Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job



  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

  • Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Systems

  • Motivation and interest in working independently with minimal supervision.


Preferred Knowledge and Skills



  • B.A. in Business, Human Resources, or other related field

  • Workday experience.


Level of Complexity and Scope



  • Solves a broad range of straight-forward problems

  • Exercises independent judgement and raises sensitive or contentious issues in a timely manner


Degree of Independence and Decision-Making



  • Some independent work and decision-making required.

  • Uses generally defined practices and policies to select methods and techniques for accomplishing tasks and problem resolution

  • None


Physical Requirements



  • Occasionally lifts and carries up to 10 lbs.

  • Frequently sits, stands and walks.
