Police Officer Lateral Transfer at City of North Olmsted in North Olmsted, Ohio

Job Description:

The North Olmsted Civil Service Commission invites qualified applicants to apply for a lateral transfer position of Police Officer. Applicants may obtain an application beginning Monday, March 31, 2025 at the North Olmsted Police Department or North Olmsted City Hall. City Hall hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Applications must be hand delivered to the Police Department by 2:00 PM on April 28, 2025.

QUALIFICATIONS
• U.S. Citizens and those persons having declared their intention of becoming U.S. Citizens (documentation required)

• Age 21 and over

• Valid driver's license

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy Certificate

• Valid Agility Certification from Tri-C or LCCC upon appointment

Prior to being interviewed candidates must also pass a background investigation, a polygraph test, and a psychological evaluation during and in conjunction with the interviewing process. Conditional Offer candidates must then pass 3 components: physical, vision and psychological. For further information, see application packet.
