As the West Region SLED Contracts Leader, you will have the unique opportunity to help mature Slalom's Public & Social Impact (P&SI) contracts team, which is focused on supporting our West Region Markets in delivering impactful experiences and outcomes for State and Local Government, Education, and Non-Profit Organizations. You'll be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that will include providing strategic advisory services, tactical support, and demonstrating thought leadership. You will leverage your ability to build trust and lead through influence and expertise to build and scale the risk and contract management function across Slalom.
What You'll Do
Strengthen our delivery excellence approach and execution for P&SI work including:
Drive national contracts strategy for Slalom using a network of contract vehicles, multi market contracts and SLED/FED contracts.
Spend time advising local markets on how to most strategically contract with public sector clients
Provide strategic and tactical advice to Local Market teams on all areas of the procurement and contracting lifecycle when utilizing contract vehicles and multi-market contracts.
Identify areas to automate contract management, reporting and compliance activities
Collaborate with internal business teams to resolve contract administration challenges as well as manage and mitigate contract risk.
Foster relationships with our Slalom local market teams to create strong working relationships in support of contract usage
Educate markets and deliver training on contract compliance and required activities such as trainings and reporting.
Develop internal content and collateral to increase understanding of contract management concepts and increase usage of available contract vehicles.
Drive utilization of contract mechanisms across the company
Provide proactive support during the pursuit process including:
Review RFx to identify areas of potential business and contractual risk, develop questions, assumptions, and exceptions that may influence contract strategy and/or impact post-award contract compliance
Draft, negotiate, and/or review a range of contracts, agreements, and scopes of work that leverage existing contract vehicles to enable compliance with corporate and legal requirements;
Develop relationships with external contracting officers in order to effectively manage Slalom's contractual obligations and understand the organizational landscape where needed.
Post-award:
Conduct contract review workshops with engagement teams, identifying key compliance obligations, contract requirements, and service level agreements
Provide post-award contract interpretation, support contract modifications, and develop and socialize tools to enable engagement teams to meet contractual obligations and requirements
Maintain database of critical contract details and monitor key contract dates and events
Delivering training and tools to enable local markets to meet their contractual compliance obligations
Responsible for contract vehicle compliance and reporting obligations
Develop go to market content to enable contract usage
Drive quarterly business reviews to support growth of contract usage
What You'll Bring
Deep knowledge of risk, contract, and legal principles, and ability to identify high-risk terms; ability to understand the impact of flow-down terms
Experience with prime and subcontracts administration and management in the public sector
Ability to influence and lead institutional process improvements without authority
Knowledge of cooperative contracting vehicles, e.g., NASPO, E&I, OMNIA, etc.
Experience with statewide contract vehicles and contract reciprocity agreements (e.g., Tx DIR, CMAS, etc)
Proficiency and experience contracting with and through public sector industry partners including an understanding of supplier diversity programs
Ability to work with a matrixed team across multiple time zones

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $92,000 to $175,000 for Manager level and $113,000 to $215,000 for Senior Manager level. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
