POSITION OVERVIEW:



The Social Work Residency Faculty is primarily responsible for implementation and oversight of clinical services and evidence-based models of care. Social Work Residency Faculty are expert clinicians who teach, coach and supervise a cohort of Social Work Residents individually and in groups, in partnership with Jewish Board's Social Work Resident Program and outside evidence-based trainers. Residency Faculty are expected to have certification in at least one evidenced based model (CPP, DBT or CBT) integral to the residency program. Additionally, Social Work Residency Faculty are responsible for ensuring clients receive timely access to quality clinical services, supervising Resident rotations, participating in in-person and remote training and Residency Program activities, providing on-going and formal feedback and professional development to Residents, and ensuring that treatment provided by Residents is compliant with Federal, State, City and CARF regulations and standards.



KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUR ARE NOT LIMITED TO:




Clinical Services:



The Social Work Residency Faculty is responsible for implementation, clinical supervision and oversight of evidence-based treatment models, including but not limited to DBT, Early Childhood treatment and CBT, to effectively meet the clinical needs of the individuals/families and communities we serve as well as ensuring clients have timely access to quality clinical care. Duties are as follows:




  • Work with program leadership to identify and assign clients that would benefit from the evidence-based models used in the Residency program.

  • Participates in evidence-based practice training and consultation, and supports implementation of evidence-based models by Social Work Residents

  • Provide weekly supervision to 12 Social Work Residents

  • Provide teaching and supervision on implementation of the evidence-based treatment models to other residency staff.

  • Provide direct services to clients, as needed, including intakes and crisis interventions

  • Develop strategies to ensure clients have timely access to care and increased engagement in care

  • Collaborate with program leadership on quality improvement initiatives.

  • Integrate recovery, rehabilitation, treatment and vocational components of the program

  • Monitor and follow up on program incidents




Personnel:



Responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing to support clinical care and evaluating staff performance. Duties include the following:




  • Collaborate with the Learning Department in recruiting and orienting of new Social Work Residents

  • Timely completion of performance appraisals and appropriately addressing performance concerns



  • Conducting or participating in staff training, evidenced based treatment models consultation and development,



  • Monitor staff attendance and vacation scheduling to ensure for program coverage




Administrative Functions and Program Operations:


As part of the leadership team, the Social Work Residency Faculty will collaborate with clinic leadership in ensuring program operations are conducted efficiently; the program remains in compliance with relevant regulatory entities, and is fiscally viable. Duties are as follows:




  • Facilitate team meetings, case conferences, and other meetings as assigned

  • Participate in residency program quality improvement and assurance activities, including completion of surveys and evaluations

  • Liaise and collaborate with the Social Work Residency/Learning Department team on a regular basis

  • May serve as back up to the Director or other supervisors; may assume responsibility for operations




REQUIREMENTS:



  • Masters degree in social work and New York State clinical licensure in social work (LCSW).

  • Certification in either CPP, DBT or CBT.

  • Solid clinical skills and knowledgeable of evidence-based practices.

  • A minimum of 3 years prior clinical experience is required and prior, relevant supervisory experience is required. Excellent organizational skills, team work and communication skills.

  • Experience working with electronic medical records and proficient with Microsoft Office.




COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED:



Proficient with electronic health record; Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook); comfortable and proficient using audio video platforms (i.e., Zoom).



VISUAL AND MANUAL DEXIERITY:



The candidate should be able to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry into various computer programs



WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL EFFORT:



Hybrid work setting. Position entails a combination of in person and remote work. Allocation of time and locations to be developed in collaboration with Senior Program Director and is based on the needs of the programs and clients served. Travel required between program locations and other Jewish Board sites.
