Job Description: As a worker in the processing department, you will be working with a team of dedicated employees who have been a part of our company for many years. You will assist in the daily processing, production and packing of fresh cut fruits and vegetables.
Responsibilities & Duties: • Accurately store, label and date all outgoing and completed food product. • Ensure adherence to all company standards regarding product quality and food safety practices. • Requires hands-on capability to operate all machinery and equipment within the boundaries of available manuals, instruction, and personal experience. • Monitors raw material and packaging inventories to ensure adequate supply and freshness (rotation) to support production requirements. • Report any discrepancies with any food safety concern to Management.
Requirements: • Experience in fresh cut production/processing environment. • Ability to work with knives and other sharp cutting equipment. • Bilingual in English/Spanish is required. • Knowledge of perishable produce operations and distribution. • Oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are crucial as well. • Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, work in fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
