Role: **
As a Real Estate Tax Credit Specialist, this individual will be responsible for working with Property Managers and Assistant Property managers to ensure the property capacity is full. By doing so, the Specialist will be working with tenants on the recertification process from start to finish. This would include identifying, interviewing, coordination and documentation of tax credit eligible tenants.
Responsibilities:**
Ensures timely and accurate tenant recertification in accordance with property-specific program requirements
Coordinate eligibility reviews and intake process with eligible applicants.
Work with residents to inform them of upcoming recertification
Schedule an initial interview for the tenant to complete any and all necessary third-party verification documentation
Reviews all application and certification paperwork and either approve/deny applicants based on specific program compliance
Submit information to outside vendors and third parties for approval
Schedule a final interview with tenant in order to execute necessary recertification paperwork
Work with Property Managers and Assistant Property Managers to set goals to ensure all properties are kept to occupancy manual standards
Qualifications: **
Associates degree or higher is required
Prior experience within the real estate industry with knowledge and experience with tax credit properties
Certifications are a plus
