What will I be doing?

We are seeking a Financial Manager to oversee the financial integrity of our hotel, ensuring precision in auditing, compliance, and financial reporting. This role is crucial in maintaining the seamless operation of our financial processes, from reconciling accounts to managing service charges and tax audits. The ideal candidate has experience in luxury hospitality finance, possesses a keen eye for detail, and is adept at analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making. With a commitment to excellence and discretion, this individual will collaborate closely with leadership to ensure financial accuracy, optimize cost efficiencies, and uphold the highest standards of fiscal responsibility.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:


  • Overseeing the reconciliation and distribution of gratuities and service charges, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and industry best practices.
  • Monitoring and reviewing daily bank transactions, including wires, advance deposits, guest refunds, and chargebacks, to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
  • Conducting in-depth account reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
  • Supporting the preparation and posting of journal entries while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.
  • Managing corporate tax audits and ensuring strict adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Collaborating with external auditors and tax consultants to facilitate seamless financial audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including month-end closings, forecasts, and variance analyses, to provide strategic insights for leadership.
  • Assisting in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts to support business objectives.
  • Identifying financial trends and recommending cost-saving initiatives to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Partnering with department heads to align financial strategies with operational goals, ensuring fiscal responsibility across all functions.
  • Ensuring the seamless integration of financial data into timekeeping and payroll systems for accurate reporting and compliance.

The rate of pay for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as this role works closely with various departments to ensure financial integrity and operational excellence.


  • Specifically, we are looking for a candidate preferably with a minimum of two years of experience in hotel finance
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is an asset
  • Proven financial and analytical expertise, including the ability to create complex financial models and clearly communicate findings, is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset are also required, along with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Advanced knowledge of finance, accounting, and the hospitality industry is preferred, with experience in managing teams and solving complex financial challenges highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, interpret findings, and make logical decisions within established policies and procedures are also necessary.
