Another Source’s client, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, is recruiting a Senior Data Analytics Manager to join their team in San Jose, CA. This position offers a hybrid work schedule of being on site a few days per week.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $111,847 – $131,585, commensurate with experience.  

 

About the role:

We're looking for a Senior Data Analytics Manager to lead a dynamic team that turns data into actionable insights, helping fundraising and leadership teams make smarter, faster, and more strategic decisions. 

 

In this role, you’ll serve as a key business partner across the development department, deeply understanding team priorities and proactively delivering analytics that drive donor engagement, revenue growth, and long-term strategy. You’ll manage and mentor a team of data professionals while overseeing data tools, reporting, and analysis related to revenue trends, donor behavior, prospecting, retention, and stewardship. 

 

You’ll also help operationalize and streamline data processes for campaigns, mailings, and events—ensuring the right message reaches the right audience at the right time. You’ll collaborate across teams, from IT to Finance to frontline fundraisers, shaping the future of our data capabilities and ensuring our systems and strategy evolve together. 

 

What you will be doing: 

Team Leadership & Collaboration 

  • Lead and support a team of analysts and coordinators, nurturing their technical and professional growth 
  • Build strong relationships across the Development and Marketing departments 
  • Proactively identify ways analytics can help drive fundraising success 
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner, bringing insight and innovation to the table 
  • Partner closely with Development Operations to ensure data accuracy and alignment 
  • Collaborate with fundraising directors and the Chief Philanthropy Officer to produce, monitor, and revise revenue forecasts 
  • Work closely with the Finance team to support monthly and annual reconciliation, and fulfill reporting requirements—including those shared with Feeding America 

Data Strategy & Insights 

  • Lead the team’s use of CRM (Salesforce) and new data technologies (e.g., data lake/warehouse) 
  • Drive the department’s adoption of predictive analytics and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) 
  • Prioritize and streamline reporting efforts, automating where possible 
  • Provide meaningful analysis around donor trends, revenue forecasting, and campaign effectiveness 
  • Oversee the coordination of mailing lists and data for campaigns and stewardship efforts 
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to Feeding America and other stakeholders 

 

Required Experience: 

  • Proven experience delivering strategic insights and recommendations to leadership 
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce), data visualization (Power BI, Tableau), and data tools (SQL, Python preferred) 
  • Experience managing or supporting a data team, with a strong mentoring and collaborative approach 
  • Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment 
  • Strong communication skills, with a talent for translating technical findings into business-friendly insights 
  • MBA preferred, but not required 
  • Passion for the mission of Second Harvest and a commitment to community impact
