The LEGO Group is seeking a Real Estate Senior Manager to support the execution of ongoing portfolio strategies, drive lease renewals, and oversee the finalization of approved lease agreements.



Core Responsibilities



Portfolio Management & Lease Execution




  • Take approved leases to the finish line by driving execution processes post-Real Estate Committee (REC) approval, ensuring alignment with business timelines and priorities




  • Coordination of LOIs and landlord communications, ensuring leases are finalized efficiently.




  • Support ongoing portfolio decisions, including lease renewals, extensions and other critical actions.




  • Partner with external landlords, brokers, and real estate partners to ensure lease terms align with our business objectives



Lease Standards & Reporting




  • Manage key lease documentation, ensuring compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and critical dates.




  • Maintain an accurate and updated lease portfolio using company software and tools.




  • Support with periodic reviews of the portfolio to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.




  • Monitor and track critical lease milestones, such as notice periods, rent escalations, and expiry dates, to avoid missed deadlines and ensure timely decision-making



Collaboration




  • Work closely with internal teams-Footprint Strategy, Retail Design, Construction, Finance, Legal, and Retail Operations-to support decision-making and lease implementation.




  • Facilitate timely communication with all partners to keep projects on schedule and aligned with business priorities

Retail Development is part of the LEGO Retail organization responsible for our Direct to Consumer (D2C) business - namely LEGO.com and our portfolio of LEGO Branded stores.



Do you have what it takes?




  • Proven experience managing lease portfolios, including renewals, extensions and critical date tracking




  • Strong understanding of Letters of Intent (LOIs), lease terms, risk mitigation, and finalizing agreements in collaboration with internal partners




  • Experience managing multiple real estate projects simultaneously, from approval to execution, with attention to timelines and deliverables.




  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication




  • Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in lease documentation, critical date management and reporting




  • A self-starter mentality with a focus on achieving goals and driving lease execution to completion




  • Thrives in a collaborative environment that values trust, support, and open communication, contributing positively to a team culture where everyone succeeds together



Additional details on this position




  • The salary for this position has a range of $124,700 - $187,000 USD based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.




  • This position will initially be at 10 St. James Ave. in Boston, before moving to a new office location at 1001 Boylston St. by mid-2025. Our hiring teams will discuss this with you during the interview stages.
