About the Position
We are searching for a Military/Federal Facilities Programmer to join our growing Federal Programming team. The ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for providing programming-level cost estimating, space allowance and requirements calculations, and facility project programming (DD Forms 1391) in support of planning and design contracts. This position supports all service branches of the Department of Defense (DoD) and some non-DoD Federal clients, primarily related to facilities on DoD installations. The role includes collecting, analysing, and developing data from client groups and official publications to ensure accurate, up-to-date programming products. Additionally, you will collaborate with team members from engineering, architecture, and planning fields at Pond, as well as with government counterparts and client/user representatives. This position may involve working with Federal clients across the U.S. and internationally, with up to 25% travel required. This role offers a great opportunity to be involved in military and federal facilities programming while contributing to meaningful and impactful projects for the Department of Defense and other Federal clients.
Experience and Qualifications
Two or more years of experience with military programming, including working knowledge of Facility Category Codes, DD Forms 1391, and facility requirements development
Bachelor of Science or Arts in a related field (Military leadership, specialty schools, or certification programs preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, or Bluebeam programs
Familiarity with cost estimating software such as PACES, TRACES MII, e4Clicks, or PC-Cost
Strong understanding of basic arithmetic and spreadsheet data management
Knowledge of Department of Defense regulations and facility management or construction
Proficient in research and facility/community planning processes
Ability to manage workload efficiently across multiple projects and teams
Effective technical writing and communication skills, including active listening and creative problem-solving
Valid U.S. passport or ability to obtain one
Experience in reading and interpreting technical documents, drawings, and plans
