About the Position
We are searching for an experienced Electrical Transmission and Substation Engineer to join our growing Energy team in one of the following Pond offices: Atlanta, GA; Peachtree Corners, GA; Tampa, FL; The Woodlands, TX; or Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience and a passion for growth and collaboration. In this role, you will support the Power Services program, delivering projects for clients across the United States, and gain opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills in transmission and substation design. We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently and efficiently, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) or on the path to obtain PE.
• 5+ years of experience in transmission and substation design.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and design software.
• Ability to apply knowledge of substation equipment, assisting in selection and specification.
• Experience designing electric transmission and substation projects, including layouts, electrical design, and routing for voltages from LV to EHV.
• Experience with electrical calculations for substation and transmission system design.
• Ability to coordinate with internal project managers and disciplines to ensure project success.
• Strong ability to prepare engineering deliverables, including contract documents and studies.
• Ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
• Ability to travel to client sites and industry conferences as needed.
