The Resolution Planning Team is seeking an experienced candidate to lead the resolution planning assessment and submission process. This position reports to the SVP of Capital Adequacy and will be tasked with providing comprehensive and strategic guidance of the process as well as working with more junior members of the team.

Major Duties:


  • Lead the design and strategy of chapter content for the Corporation's and Bank's Resolution Plans by partnering with subject matter experts in multiple functions, business units, and jurisdictions.

  • Manage Resolution Plan deliverables for Northern Trust submissions, including project managing workstreams and performing qualitative/quantitative analyses, as needed.

  • Lead efforts to maintain the Resolution Plan and the process for updating it periodically as required by regulation, based upon material changes in the company structure, risk profile, scope, and/or business mix .

  • Serve as the subject matter expert with regards to regulatory expectations in Resolution Planning.

  • Carry out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues.

  • Display a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.

Knowledge:


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to present relevant information to senior management.

  • In-dept knowledge of Resolution Planning or related work experience is required.

  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change

  • Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills are required

Experience:

A College or University degree is required, and 10+ years relevant work experience in a financial services regulated industry is required.

An advance degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and/or related industry qualification (e.g. CFA) is preferred.

Salary Range:
$114,700 - 194,900 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
