POSITION SUMMARY
Quality Control Technician is responsible for the testing of a variety of construction materials in the field and aggregate pits.
Responsibilities include:
Sample and test construction materials in the field and aggregate pits to measure their properties for compliance with the appropriate agency or internal specifications
Perform required testing at various points throughout the project
Comply with agency and internal testing procedures and reporting requirements
Recognize changes in material appearance, gradation, or other properties and communicate to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
Report test results to appropriate personnel, or agencies and clients with requested
Maintain laboratory and equipment in clean, organized, and operable condition
Train for operation of front end loader
Become familiar with truck scale system operation and maintenance
Monitor usage and maintenance of vehicle wash facility
Be responsible for receiving, unloading, and tracking of site deliveries
Prepare required documentation accurately and timely
Perform assigned tasks in a safe, timely, accurate, and efficient manner observing all safety laws, policies, and rules
Communicate in a courteous and effective manner with customers and co-workers
Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Possess a valid current Driver’s License
Possess basic math skills, and be familiar with fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, rates, conversions, etc.
Be familiar with computer spreadsheets
Regularly lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Ability to operate small equipment (forklift, broom sweeper, telehandler, skid-steer, etc.)
Perform assigned tasks in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
Must be willing to work in an environment with exposure to various weather conditions
Be quality and production oriented
Ability to take instruction & implement daily instruction
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
Must be willing to travel if required
