Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a skilled Intermediate Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance network infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and securing network solutions while ensuring optimal performance and compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate will analyze network requirements, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve overall network efficiency. Additionally, this position provides user training, develops policies, and ensures seamless network operations to support organizational goals.
3-5 years of experience in Network Administration preferred
Define and establish network specifications by assessing user needs, security requirements, and workflow efficiency
Plan, implement, and optimize network infrastructure, including router administration, interface configuration, and routing protocols
Monitor network performance by analyzing availability, utilization, throughput, and latency, and troubleshoot issues as needed
Ensure network security by developing and maintaining access controls, monitoring procedures, and security policies
Maintain network documentation and enforce policies to ensure compliance with security and operational standards
Evaluate, install, and configure network hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment
Coordinate with vendors to upgrade and enhance network infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and performance improvements
Provide training and technical support to users on network operations and best practices
Keep up to date with industry trends by engaging in professional development and maintaining relevant certifications
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and ensure compliance with organizational security protocols
Support the achievement of organizational goals by proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions
Education / Certifications
Bachelor's degree, preferred (computer science, information technology, or have equivalent experience)
CEH or CFR or Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC

Security Clearance
