Strategic Audit Operations Leader: Driving Excellence Behind the Scenes

As our Dir, Internal Audit Professional Practices and Operations leader, you'll collaborate directly with audit leadership to shape the department's future while ensuring we maintain the highest professional standards. You'll drive our strategy development, spearhead technology innovation, own our reporting to the Board and executive team, and be the architect of our audit methodology and technology platform. With significant exposure to company leadership, you'll have the opportunity to provide insights that directly impact CDK's strategic priorities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist in development of short and long-term strategic direction and audit methodology for Internal Audit.
Prepares Board materials by including internal audit, SOX and related assurance results, emerging risks and trends, issues and key internal audit activities.
Oversight of reporting and communication including management reporting, open audit issue tracking and management, audit report distribution and departmental communications.
Establishes, implements and maintains Internal Audit policies, procedures and governance according to IIA Global Audit Standards. Coordinates audit risk assessment and audit plan development and executes Quality Assurance and Improvement program.
Identifies, establishes and engages in internal and external initiatives to support organizational change, technology implementations and special projects. Challenges the status quo, champions continuous improvement of the Company's operations and partners with members of management to improve efficiency and profitability.
Lead's management and operational support of the audit plan status, audit surveys and stakeholder feedback, reporting and project management metrics, departmental KPI's and financial budget and forecasting needs.
Drives technology strategy, including capability assessment, audit tool optimization and support, data analytics management and continuous audit opportunities using automation and innovation.
Develops, plans and execute training curriculum for learning and development, including technical auditing skills, data and analytics, and emotional intelligence. Leads all aspects of the orientation and onboarding process for new hires, guest auditors and contractors.
Management of department benchmarking and compliance with independence certifications and required corporate policies in collaboration with IA leadership.
Help facilitate Internal Audit resource and demand management efforts, including staffing availability, coordination and scheduling of resources, staff augmentation and detailed project scheduling.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, technical or related field
12+ years of demonstrated experience in audit leadership, risk management or a related field, management experience preferred
Proven knowledge of auditing principles and practices and understanding of Institute of Internal Auditors Global Internal Audit Standards
Strong communication and influencing skills, with ability to navigate complex matrix environments and cross collaborate
Comfort in dealing with ambiguity, calm under pressure, honesty and integrity
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail
Strong skills in PowerPoint, Power BI, Excel and other visualization tools
Strong project management abilities and executes to established timelines, acts with urgency
Positive, energetic, motivated and motivator for the team
Salary Range: $177,000 - $200,000
