The Team

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (BA) with 7-10 years of expertise in business analysis. The BA will be responsible for gathering and maintaining the integrity of requirements throughout the project/program lifecycle. Key responsibilities include collecting business, report, and data requirements, supporting quality testing, maintaining business relationships, and driving standard business processes.

The Business Analyst will be actively involved in driving various deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle. They will conduct thorough business process analysis to understand existing workflows and systems, document current processes, create business and functional requirements documentation, and manage requirements changes. The ideal candidate should understand business priorities and identify multiple approaches to problem-solving. Additionally, the Business Analyst must possess strong technical acumen and the ability to translate information and research into non-technical language to effectively communicate across teams.

They will also play a crucial role during the testing phase, actively writing test scripts and test plans as well as ensuring that the development aligns with business requirements. The Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting users during User Acceptance Testing, providing user training, and managing defect triage where applicable.

How you will contribute


  • Lead requirements analysis sessions engaging key stakeholders and utilizing available resources to facilitate discussions and elicit functional and non-functional requirements based on business needs.

  • Complete business & functional requirements documentation and manage the full sign-off process for project documentation.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of business processes, requirements, and the systems they leverage.

  • Gain deep knowledge of the solutions and products for the business areas supported.

  • Document procedure and policy changes from current state models, showing future state impacts while managing the full sign-off process.

  • Break down high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements.

  • Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other non-functional requirements.

  • Represent requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios where appropriate.

  • Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards.

  • Support and perform quality testing to validate that requirements have been designed and built as approved in requirements documentation.

  • Write Quality Assurance test scripts in support of Quality Assurance testing and in alignment with approved requirements documentation.

  • Liaison between technical Leads and project stakeholders to assist in troubleshooting defects and identifying enhancements.

  • Perform requirements prioritization efforts

  • Oversee requirements traceability across project lifecycles.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Technical Leads, Project Stakeholders, and Business leads

  • Partner with Project Managers throughout the life cycle of the project

  • Execute Business Analyst duties in a waterfall methodology setting.

  • Continuous contact with the global Business Team(s), Project Managers, Engineers, Software Developers and QA Analysts;

Qualifications

Experience: 7-10 years plus of direct experience as a Business Analyst.

  • At least 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including requirements gathering, RFP/RFI, software selection, report requirements, data analysis, and business process documentation.

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a lead Business Analyst supporting and implementing third-party solutions and software development projects

  • Strong analytical acumen with a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs, model business functions, and translate them into application and operational requirements.

  • Ability to write detailed test scrips & testing documentation

  • Ability to perform quality testing to ensure requirements are developed as documented

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in alignment with a project plan for successful project completion

  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, understandable language.

  • Proficient in Microsoft standard desktop applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Teams

  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and interact daily with all levels of staff, including Project Managers, system developers, engineers, and Operations team members.

  • Skilled in identifying patterns and trends in analyzed data.

  • Thorough knowledge of the professional services industry and current trends.

  • Excellent collaboration, relationship-building, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to take a lead role in coordinating efforts.

  • Experience working in a waterfall environment

The salary range is $110,000-130,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
