We are looking for an early-career Mechanical Engineer to join our Tallgrass Project Engineering team. This role offers hands-on exposure to pipeline systems, pump and compressor stations, terminals, and mechanical facilities supporting Major projects. Candidates with 0 to 5 years of experience will thrive in this position by contributing to a wide variety of projects from concept through execution.Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution in Engineering or a related field.
0 to 5 years of mechanical engineering experience (internships or co-ops in oil & gas are a plus)
Familiarity with mechanical equipment used in pipeline or terminal operations
Working knowledge of CAD and engineering analysis tools
Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and a proactive mindset
Ability to work in both office and field environments as needed
Experience/Specific Knowledge (not required):
Exposure to midstream project work or operations support
Experience with pump or compressor station design
Root cause analysis or mechanical integrity experience
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Support the design, specification, and analysis of mechanical systems, including pipelines, pumps, valves, pressure vessels, and rotating equipment
Assist in project execution, from feasibility and front-end engineering to construction support and commissioning
Perform calculations, material selection, and mechanical integrity assessments
Work closely with project managers, field personnel, and vendors to ensure technical accuracy and safety compliance
Participate in inspections, failure analysis, and reliability improvements of mechanical systems
Prepare engineering deliverables such as datasheets, reports, and drawing reviews
Ensure designs meet industry standards (ASME, API, DOT, etc.) and internal specifications
Follows prescribed procedures and conducts analyses to develop design options or recommendations.
