As a member of the Marketplace Ops Team, the Carrier/Pricing Hybrid role will be the intersection of Carrier & Pricing and be responsible for providing timely spot pricing to a variety of Enterprise, Mid-Market and SMB customers by leveraging Uber Freight's digital carrier network, with the goal of maximizing win rate & profit while helping to facilitate coverage when necessary. Additionally, this role will support Carrier RFP reviews. This person will work closely with members of the Carrier, Pricing Ops and Account Management Teams.
What the Candidate Will Do
Submit real-time spot market pricing to Enterprise, Mid-Market and SMB customers through web portals and other forms of communication
Review contractual (RFP) pricing to help inform on price points and overall bid strategy in a targeted manner to grow volume
Guide the coverage/service of awarded spot volume when necessary
Maintain a constant awareness of US freight market conditions and advise other Uber Freight team members on any changes, trends, etc. noticed in the market
Develop direct relationships, when appropriate, to help grow existing Uber Freight accounts
Use internal and external pricing tools and databases to guide pricing decisions
Expand Uber Freight's customer knowledge by mastering customer networks, learning price points, finding opportunities, and providing timely communication
Leverage data and analytics to drive informed decisions and evolve strategy
Take calculated risks to help uncover growth areas
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience in carrier sales/brokerage
Experience working closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Strong multi tasking skills
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years freight pricing experience
High level communication and interpersonal skills
Strong stakeholder management abilities
Ability to work independently

Illinois: The salary range for this role is $81,200 to $99,000 a year.
