About the role
Forterra seeks a Quality Inspector to support our cutting-edge autonomous technology operations in Clarksburg, MD. The primary focus of this role is ensuring the highest standard in electrical assemblies, including cable and wire harnesses, enclosures, and electrical components. As a key member of the Quality team, you will perform in-process, receiving, and final inspections, collaborate with engineering and production teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, this role may be required to conduct inspections on hardware.

The Quality Inspector role requires technical experience in electrical inspections, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and IPC standards. Beyond inspections, you will contribute to root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality process improvements—all with the singular focus of ensuring Forterra's autonomous technology meets the highest reliability and performance standards. Whether working hands-on with electrical components, collaborating cross-functionally, or streamlining inspection processes, you will be an essential part of Forterra's mission to deliver innovative, high-quality autonomous solutions.
