Overview:

In anticipation of a contract award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. – recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace – is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support a federal client. You will oversee the planning and delivery of products to business stakeholders, managing the contract, and ensuring project task area deliverables and service objectives are met. Your role will require a solid understanding of the technical aspects of the project, including full lifecycle development of IT applications, web, and cloud-based environments, while proactively addressing both technical and business challenges to ensure alignment with project goals. You will collaborate with other technical leads, customer stakeholders, contract officer representatives (COR), and report to Tantus' Director of Health Solutions. Additionally, you will manage performance, quality, and technical support as needed, while engaging directly with customer stakeholders, development teams, and end-users to ensure smooth project execution and support.

Location: Hybrid role in Bethesda, MD.
Clearance: This position supports a federal contract and requires the ability to pass a background check.




What Youll do:

Project Management tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead technical staff on multiple complex software development projects.
  • Assess technology solutions and provide recommendations.
  • Ensure effective change control and configuration management to maintain consistency, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Analyze complex, interrelated projects, assess risks, and recommend solutions for difficult problems.
  • Identify and apply architectural standards and principles to promote standardization, reuse, and minimize incompatibility issues across the application portfolio.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, including deliverables, due dates, responsible resources, level of effort, and budget projections.
  • Perform biweekly assessments and report on project progress, risks, and impact on cost and timelines.
  • Provide Monthly Admin Reports as outlined in the Deliverable formats provided by the government.


Required knowledge and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Project Management Certification
  • 6+ years of project management experience leading agile, DevOps software development projects.
  • 5+ years of experience managing project in Agile .NET and MicrosoftPower Apps implementations with in-depth understanding of technology and technical aspects of the project, ability to comprehend the complexities of software design and databases and anticipate technical and business challenges to ensure products align well with the project's goals.
  • Experience managing cloud-related application development projects.
  • Experience with Agile DevOps, Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).


Abilities

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (or higher) is required.


Nice to haves

  • Experience providing technical leadership and take multiple systems and cross system integration into account when designing and developing solutions.
  • PMP certification.


Salary Range:
  • Salary range is $155,000-175,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
