The Assistant Director of Facilities / Energy and Sustainability Manager will assist the Director of Facilities in overseeing the daily operations of campus facilities, including the supervision of trades, grounds, heating plant, and custodial services. This role will work closely with various campus entities to coordinate construction projects, ensure compliance with building codes, and support energy management and sustainability initiatives.
Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, the incumbent will oversee all aspects of facilities maintenance and operations, ensuring that campus facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Additionally, they will develop and implement energy efficiency and sustainability strategies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while promoting environmentally responsible practices.
The Energy and Sustainability Manager component of this role focuses on reducing energy consumption, improving sustainability efforts, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include analyzing energy usage, identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing renewable energy projects, and implementing sustainability initiatives that enhance environmental stewardship across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, a broad knowledge of business functions, and experience in project management. They must understand the technical aspects of facilities management, support day-to-day operations, mitigate risks, and ensure the facilities effectively serve the needs of the college community.

The starting salary for this position is $75,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
