American International University (AIU) is looking for a dynamic and engaged full-timeDirector ofInstitute for Private Training. We seek an individual who is passionate about mentoring and working with young adults, fomenting mental health and behavioral health services for students.

Job Summary

The Director acts as the senior administrative officer for the Continuing Education Program. The Director will implement and lead comprehensive noncredit and for-credit programs. The incumbent will seek to service the general public and support training and professional development for local and regional business, government, non-profit, and professional communities.

Working with the Executive Director of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies and the Continuing and Professional Education staff, the Director will exercise creativity, leadership, and a strong entrepreneurial orientation to develop or stimulate the development of comprehensive noncredit and for-credit programs that have strong appeal and are financially viable.

The incumbent will lead the efforts of marketing, outreach activities, and promotion of the offered programs. He/she will lead, direct, and support all aspects of the Program, including Registration. The Director will also be responsible for staff, including but not limited to hiring, training, and management/supervision.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Public Administration, Marketing, Communication, or related field; Masters Degree Preferred
• At least five years in Continuing Education and/or Event Planning, Corporate Training, Marketing OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
