Jefferson Community College, Watertown, New York, a member of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is conducting a search for full-time Coordinator - Clinical and Simulation Skills Lab. The Coordinator for Clinical and Simulation Skills Lab collaborates with nursing faculty, students, the nursing success coach, and lab technicians to provide high-quality simulated learning experiences for lab and clinical program requirements. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a simulation program that aligns with course learning outcomes and state education department standards. Additionally, the Coordinator oversees lab learning experiences and provides onboarding, orientation, and mentorship for clinical instructors, while maintaining a minimum teaching load of 9 contact hours annually. The Coordinator for Clinical and Simulation Skills Lab will work with the College's leadership to advance the mission of the current Strategic Plan.
Required: The position requires current, unencumbered NYS RN licensure; a graduate degree in nursing OR a bachelor's degree in nursing and enrolled in a master's degree in nursing program; and at least two years of clinical practice experience. The candidate must be willing to obtain a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification within two years and undergo training in healthcare simulation.
Preferred: Graduate degree in nursing, specializing in nursing education; experience/certification in implementation of high-fidelity simulation; experience as a clinical nursing instructor; proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

Salary: $70,000/year for well-qualified individuals. Salary is determined based upon experience and education in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement as well as internal equity.
