As an Sr. Software Engineer, you will drive the delivery of complex development, integration, and automation solutions for the Security Development and Integration Team. The Security Development and Integration team is a dynamic group focused on automation within our Security and Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies. This diverse team brings together a wide range of expertise, experience levels, and cultural backgrounds, creating a rich and inclusive work environment. Their primary focus is delivering solutions to support our Security and IAM initiatives (e.g., automation, integrations, security orchestration, reporting).

Responsibilities:


  • Deliver innovative technical solutions surrounding the Publix IAM applications and technology supporting our organization

  • Drive continual improvement of IAM applications and technical solutions through sound Agile delivery practices that will lead to better efficiency and scalability for the organization

  • Design and update automation workflows for security related processes

  • Collaborate with the product owners and technology leadership to assist Agile team members with day-to-day direction and clarification of requirements

  • Create design artifacts such as user stories, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively convey product workflow architecture and user experiences to stakeholders


  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or an analytical discipline and/or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in analyzing complex, enterprise business problems or processes and translating business requirements into technology solutions that factor in system performance usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership.

  • 3+ years of experience with automating and enhancing business processes using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Data Verse, etc.)

  • 3+ years of experience in application design, development, and delivery in an enterprise environment with .NET and C#.

  • Experience working on efforts involving Azure Services, Azure Data Lake, and/or Azure Data Bricks

  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Git for source control, or similar CI/CD tools.

  • Experience with automation system tasks with configuration management tools such as Ansible.

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs.


  • 5+ years of experience in application design, development, and delivery in an enterprise environment with .NET and C#.

  • 7+ years of experience in analyzing complex, enterprise business problems or processes and translating business requirements into technology solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership.

  • 5+ years of experience with automating and enhancing business processes using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Data Verse, etc.)

  • 1+ Experience working on efforts involving Azure Services, Azure Data Lake, and/or Azure Data Bricks

  • Experience implementing software using containerization technologies.

  • Experience with event-based and microservices architecture.

  • Solid working knowledge of Azure Security controls and deployment.
