Job Overview:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of machinery, equipment, and systems within the production facility. This individual will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with PLCs or robotics systems. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to keep operations running seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:


* Perform regular preventative maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal functionality.


* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-based systems.


* Diagnose and address issues such as equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and failures promptly and effectively.


* Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure product quality standards are maintained.


* Work with production teams to ensure minimal downtime during machine breakdowns.


* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.


* Assist in the installation and set up of new equipment and machinery.


* Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for equipment enhancements or process optimization.


* Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work area.


* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.


* Respond to emergency breakdowns and repairs as needed.


* Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and other team members.

Qualifications:


* High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, robotics, or related field preferred.


* 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with hands-on experience working with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) or robotics systems.


* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs/robotics.


* Proficient in using a wide variety of tools and equipment, including power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments.


* Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.


* Solid understanding of preventive maintenance practices and principles.


* Experience with computer systems for tracking and documenting maintenance work.


* Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.


* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


* Ability to lift heavy items, work in tight spaces, and stand for long periods.


* Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, or on-call when necessary.


* Strong communication skills and the ability to report issues and progress clearly.

Preferred Skills:


* Experience with CNC machinery, woodworking equipment, or related systems.


* Familiarity with safety standards in a manufacturing environment.


* Previous experience working with robotics systems or automated production lines.

Physical Requirements:


* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.


* Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.


* Comfortable working in various environments, including hot, cold, or noisy areas.

Working Conditions:


* Full-time position, with potential for overtime based on business needs.


* Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


* Safety gear such as gloves, goggles, and ear protection will be provided.
