This position is a Boston Office based role which may require travel to help assist in supporting several Academic, Life Science and Higher Education projects in Central MA. Active projects are in Worcester and Amherst. Our pipeline across New England is built out to 2026!

Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Manager oversees procurement, logistics, and risk management to ensure the seamless delivery of materials and services for committed projects. This role collaborates with sales, project leadership, and Preconstruction teams to make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle while maintaining proactive communication with subcontractors and vendors. Responsibilities include tracking material logistics, mitigating financial and reputational risks, supporting scheduling efforts through Procore, and establishing off-site storage solutions when needed. The Supply Chain Manager conducts shop visits to validate progress, and escalates issues when deviations impact project schedules, ensuring efficiency, minimizing risks, and keeping projects on track.
Manage end-to-end supply chain operations and service delivery for committed projects.
Oversee procurement and supply chain management, ensuring timely delivery of products by evaluating lead times and addressing potential delays
Develop and maintain a material procurement tracking matrix, including material release, location of fabrication, expected lead time, shipping mode (boat, train, plane, truck), and required on-site date
Collaborate with sales, project leadership, and preconstruction teams to support sales activities, maintain the supply chain matrix, and provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Utilize a supply chain matrix to monitor and mitigate financial and reputational risks while keeping stakeholders informed
Strategize with internal teams to assess, review, and identify products based on client scope and requirements
Support scheduling efforts by evaluating lead times and leveraging internal systems like Procore.
Assess deviations from project plans, determine necessary escalations, and adjust schedules to minimize impact
Partner with SPM/PM team to identify high risk materials for the project trades to maintain the materials status risk matrix tracking document
Maintain proactive communication with subcontractors and material vendors through regular check-ins, securing updates and documentation on fabrication and delivery status
Procure materials as early as possible to ensure availability, front-loading submittals, approvals, and fabrication in a prioritized, coordinated manner.
Establish local, off-site, storage solutions for materials that cannot be stored at subcontractor facilities
Continuously monitor industry trends to ensure the company remains at the forefront of supply chain innovation
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled shop or fabricator visits to validate progress
Collaborate with external clients, where applicable, to streamline the procurement of related items, including checking on client-supplied materials when traveling within proximity
Qualifications
Experience: 7-10+ years in the construction industry within project management, superintendent, estimating or purchasing like fields
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or equivalent experience required
Strong desire to learn and be inquisitive
Strong negotiation skills
Be an innovative thinker to dig deeper and create work arounds for issues that come up
Strong technical knowledge/understanding of construction materials and equipment
Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Project and P6 system
Outstanding relationship-building skills
Ability to speak and write clearly in English to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
