Ph.D. in History.

Primary fields in Mexican, borderlands, orTexas History. Must be willing to teach the US History surveys (US History to 1877 & US History Since 1877) as well as upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in History within fields determined as necessary.

Teach 12 semester credit hours (4 courses) per semester. Teaching load includes undergraduate and graduate courses. Additional duties supportive of the History and Mexican & American Studies program, such as advising and program coordinating, may be assigned. Opportunity to teach one summer session, although not guaranteed, has traditionally been available. Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others. Position is Security Sensitive.

Texas Law requires a 60 day waiting period before new state employees are eligible to enroll in health insurance.

The report also contains information about crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in On-Campus Student Housing Facilities; in Noncampus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University or a recognized student organization; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. The report also contains fire statistics for any fires occurring in an On-Campus Student Housing Facility during the three most recent calendar years.
