Job Summary
As a Engineering Project Manager at BPMI, you will lead a project team to construct a new equipment test facility from site location through facility performance verification. This position will be responsible for project planning and execution, risk management, budget management, stakeholder alignment, reporting and documentation, quality assurance and resource management to ensure project objectives are met.
Essential Duties:
Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and communication.
Take actions to assure the project is delivered within the established timeframes and to the required quality standards.
Create and maintain overall project infrastructure.
Work with management to estimate and secure necessary resources to support the project.
Define project scope, work breakdown structure and obtain management alignment.
Develop cost estimates and resource loaded schedules.
Manage overall project costs versus budgets.
Manage identification and mitigation of risks.
Communicate with stakeholders at Architectural Engineering firms, Construction Contractors, Navy sites, Commercial Suppliers, and BPMI spanning professionals to executive management.

Minimum Job Requirements:
B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may be considered in lieu of one year of experience.
Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Project Management certification or advanced degree in related discipline.
Experience with managing multi-faceted projects or innovative development efforts.
Experience with facility and/or construction projects.
Familiarity with the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to travel (up to 15%) in support of project objectives.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project or other project management software.
