Focus:
Lead the integration, calibration, and verification of complex RF and DAS systems across commercial and government environments.
Develop and execute RF test plans, validation protocols, and performance evaluations for multi-band wireless systems.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting of RF signal paths, antennas, and system components to ensure optimal in-building coverage.
Interface with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineers to support end-to-end system testing.
Analyze test data using tools such as spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and advanced test automation platforms.
Maintain detailed technical documentation including system diagrams, testing procedures, and performance reports.
Provide technical input during product development lifecycle to influence system design from an RF performance perspective.
Stay ahead of wireless industry trends, frequency regulations, and technology shifts in public safety, 5G, and IoT infrastructure.
Skill Set:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
4+ years of experience working with RF systems, preferably including DAS and in-building wireless deployments.
Proficient in RF test equipment usage (e.g., VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
Strong understanding of wireless communication protocols and technologies such as LTE, 5G, WiFi, and public safety bands.
Experience with RF propagation tools, site surveys, and signal path optimization preferred.
Familiarity with industry standards including NFPA, FCC, and relevant carrier requirements.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret RF test results to inform engineering decisions.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
