We are seeking a Quality Engineer with a strong background in metal fabrication to develop and optimize quality processes within our manufacturing environment. This individual will play a key role in creating and modifying quality systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and mentoring a team of four. While not a direct management role, this position requires indirect leadership to guide and support the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and refine quality processes to improve manufacturing efficiency and product reliability.
Oversee quality procedures related to PPAP, APQP, and CPK, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of four quality professionals, supporting their growth and development.
Work hands-on in the metal fabrication plant, identifying and resolving quality issues.
Act as a key resource in problem-solving and process improvement, stepping in when critical issues arise.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality objectives align with business goals.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience in quality engineering within metal fabrication.
Deep understanding of PPAP, APQP, and CPK from a leadership perspective.
Hands-on experience working in a plant environment with metal forming processes.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, dependable, and solutions-oriented mindset.
