We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, be proficient in financial reporting, and possess strong analytical skills. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information and providing insights that support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards.
Oversee and manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns and assist with audits.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial projections.
Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Integrity and professionalism in managing confidential information.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco notes the salary range for the role as follows: $85-100k. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
